The State of Massachusetts has begun the application period for candidates to complete the online process of applying to sit for the 2024 Municipal and MBTA (statewide) Police Exam. Candidates can apply at Exam Application Portal (Click Here).
The Massachusetts application period closes on January 16, 2024 (extended to March 30, 2024 w/ late fee) and the actual Police Officer Exam is scheduled to be administered from Saturday, March 16, 2024 to March 30, 2024.
Registration is now available for the CCS Test Prep® Program for the 2024 Massachusetts police officer exam.
This program and approach is very effective, as serious students can truly refine their skills and excel on the test. Passing is not good enough; it is critical to score extremely high in this very competitive process. Students will work with Chief David A. Paprota, Ed.D. (Ret.) via the CCS Test Prep® online learning platform to complete a very thorough and focused prep program leading right up to the time of the actual test.

The Massachusetts entry-level assessment is actually developed by a private, national vendor contracted by the State of Massachusetts. The PSI (Talogy) company has developed several versions the Law Enforcement Aptitude Battery (LEAB) for Massachusetts. The most common version of the LEAB consists of 3 distinct parts with a total of 240 questions administered with a 2.5-hour time limit. The 3 distinct parts. Part 1 is the Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT) consisting of 30 questions. Part 2 is the Work Styles Questionnaire (WSQ) consisting of 135 trait assessment statements. Part 3 is the Life Experience Survey (LES) consisting of 75 questions. Candidates must achieve a high composite score on the examination to be included in a hiring process.
