Suffolk County Civil Service administered the most recent Police Exam cycle on Saturday, June 15, 2019. The last filing date to apply had been extended to April 17, 2019 through the Suffolk County Civil Service website. The next testing cycle is expected to be held in mid 2023.
The CCS Test Prep® Program consisted of a two-day seminar that focused on each aspect of the competitive exam. During the course, in addition to the very detailed in-class instruction, each student had the opportunity to complete a Scantron™ scored preliminary diagnostic exam (short version) as well as a final exam in the course which helped identify each student’s individual strengths and weaknesses. Chief David A. Paprota, Ed.D. (Ret.) has developed special software which properly weights and scores students’ responses to each exam question and section. Students received a comprehensive binder full of instructional material and practice questions along with individualized scoring reports to provide further guidance and direction for his or her studies.
While the course fee covered the two-day seminar and course materials, Chief David A. Paprota, Ed.D. (Ret.) also provided courtesy access to the CCS Test Prep® Online Learning Platform during the days leading immediately up to the actual exam on June 15, 2019. Students were able to easily reinforce their knowledge of prior studies by taking instantly scored short practice quizzes (over and over). This was above and beyond the two-day seminar and a special free service that Chief Paprota provided to CCS Test Prep® students. Students found the online practice questions, instantly scored short quizzes, and answer guides to be incredibly valuable leading up to test day. The CCS Test Prep® program for the Suffolk County Police Exam was designed to provide students with every possible advantage.
This program and approach is very effective, as serious students can truly refine their skills and excel on the test. Passing is not good enough; it is critical to score extremely high in this very competitive process.
