The officials of the Livingston Township (NJ) Police Department conducted their formal application process for entry-level police testing and hiring via PoliceApp.com with the online application period open through Friday, October 24, 2025. The exam was scheduled to be administered on Monday, November 3, 2025.

The most serious candidates also register for the CCS Test Prep® Online Program to prepare for the exam with 24/7 access to study at their convenience beginning within 12 hours of the submission of the course registration.

The exam used was the NCJOSI v2 which has proven to be the single most difficult law enforcement entry-level examination being regularly used in New Jersey today. It is known that 40% to 60% of candidates who actually sit for the exam “fail” the exam. Of those who are fortunate enough to pass, the vast majority achieve very low scores that just make the cut line.
