The Township of Hamilton contracted with the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) for the administration of the exam. The exam is actually produced and scored by a private vendor (I/O Solution – IOS). The exam is the NCJOSI v2 which has proven to be the single most difficult law enforcement entry-level examination being regularly used in New Jersey today. It is known that 40% to 60% of candidates who actually sit for the exam “fail” the exam. Of those who are fortunate enough to pass, the vast majority achieve very low scores that just make the cut line.
