The officials of the Bridgewater Township Police Department in Somerset County (NJ) conducted a testing process in March of 2020. The process started with an online application via PoliceApp.com through Wednesday, January 29th, 2020. Those who applied then reported for a physical fitness assessment prior to being eligible to sit for the written exam. Applicants who passed the physical fitness assessment were invited to sit for the written examination on Saturday, March 7, 2020.

The Township of Bridgewater contracts with the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) for the administration of the exam. The exam is actually produced and scored by a private vendor (I/O Solution – IOS). The exam is the NCJOSI which has proven to be a very competitive and challenging exam for police candidates.
