(Beginning April 1, 2019, the rate will go up $450.00)
The Monmouth County Police Academy utilizes the results from the Monmouth County Police Chiefs Association county-wide testing process to choose which candidates go on to interview for Alternate Route Program slots. The exam services of the NJ Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) are utilized for the written testing which consists of the I/O Solutions (IOS) National Criminal Justice Officer Selection Inventory (NCJOSI) written exam series. This is a very critically scored entry-level exam that has been proven to be very challenging as a competitive instrument. Most candidates take the exam over and over without ever achieving a sufficiently adequate score to be considered in any of the selection processes for which the exam series is utilized.
|The CCS Test Prep® Program|
Candidates who register for the CCS Test Prep® program for the Monmouth County Entry-Level Exam will begin their training on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 or Sunday, May 5, 2019 (Candidate’s choice at time of registration). Upon completion of the in-class session, candidates will be logged into the CCS Test Prep® Online Learning Platform with 24/7 access through to the time of the actual exam. The access follows the in-class Testing and Review Session. The in-class formal testing and review sessions will be held at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton (Monmouth County) with Chief David A. Paprota, Ed.D. (Ret.). While attending this session is part of the program, it is not mandatory but is highly recommended.
At the in-class session, students will have the opportunity to sit for a formal exam which will be Scantron™ scored and run through Dr. Paprota’s scoring software to produce a properly weighted score, so each student learns his or her personal strengths and weaknesses going into the remainder of his or her studies. Each student also will receive a detailed scoring report as part of the program.
After the in-class session, the CCS Test Prep® Online Learning Platform allows students to reinforce their knowledge and understanding all of the way up to the time of the actual test.
