The officials of the Washington Township Police Department in Warren County (NJ) have announced a formal entry-level application and testing process for 2020. The process started with applications being available during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at police headquarters through December 30th, 2019 (or until the max of 100 applicants is reached). Those who have applied will then need to report for a written examination on Monday, January 13th at 6:00 p.m (Warren Hills Regional High School). Applicants who score sufficiently on the written exam will then be required to report for a physical fitness assessment on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. (Warren Hills Regional High School). Starting Monday, January 6th, 2020, students will begin preparing via the CCS Test Prep® Online Learning Platform along with direct consultation with Chief David A. Paprota, Ed.D. (Ret.) 

The Township of Washington contracts with the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) for the administration of the exam. The exam is actually produced and scored by a private vendor (I/O Solution – IOS). The exam is the NCJOSI which has proven to be a very competitive and challenging exam for police candidates.
