Delaware State Trooper Application and Written Exam – CCS Test Prep – May 25, 2017

Delaware State Police – Trooper Examination

The Delaware State Police are currently accepting short-form applications in anticipation of an upcoming testing cycle. The written exam is actually developed by a private vendor contracted by the State of Delaware. The EB Jacobs company, as contracted by the State of Delaware, has produced the Law Enforcement Aptitude Battery (LEAB). The LEAB is a 3-part assessment consisting of 169 questions with a 2 hour and 15 minute time limit. This version of the LEAB consists of 3 distinct parts which include the following: Part 1 – Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT) consisting of 48 questions; Part 2 – Work Styles Questionnaire (WSQ) consisting of 74 trait assessment statements; and Part 3 – Life Experience Survey (LES) consisting of 47 questions. Candidates must achieve a satisfactory composite score on the examination to be included in the remainder of the hiring process.

The Delaware State Police are currently accepting applications for their next testing cycle in anticipation of a 2018 academy class. There is no residency requirement until the completion of the academy. No test date has been established, but interested candidates should complete the short-form application and submit it now. The written application can be found at Delaware State Police Application.
