
The NJSP online application period for the 2026 written testing and selection process for entry-level trooper candidates is now open through Sunday, April 19, 2026. Candidates interested in applying to the NJSP are required to apply via the NJSP website by Sunday, April 19, 2026.
Serious candidates interested in preparing for the written test battery should register for the CCS Test Prep® Online Program. Students will train via the CCS Test Prep® Online Learning Platform with 24/7 access to study at their convenience beginning 20 days before the student’s written test date. Once opened, access to the learning platform continues with 24/7 access up to the student’s actual chosen test date. The NJSP written testing is expected to be facilitated in May and June 2026.

The New Jersey State Police (NJSP) opened their most recent application period for another open-competitive testing cycle with a closing date for applications set as April 19, 2026. Candidates who apply are required to complete the physical assessment on their assigned date. The PQT assessments are most commonly scheduled to begin within a week after the close of applications. For those who pass the PQT, each candidate will have the opportunity to select a written testing date with dates most commonly available in May and June.
