NJDOC APPLICATION DEADLINE (January 29, 2015) – The deadline for applications for the 2015 NJDOC Correction Officer Recruit Examination is quickly approaching. The short-form online application, as required by the New Jersey Civil Service Commission (NJCSC), may be accessed by clicking this link: NJCSC Application for the NJDOC Exam. The NJCSC announced the examination on Thursday, December 4th, 2014, and has extended the application deadline to Thursday, January 29, 2015.
This very short application period through the holiday season has left many potential candidates unaware of this exceptional opportunity for a career in public safety. The exam results from this upcoming 2015 cycle are expected to be valid through mid 2017. The NJCSC has set the application fee as $35 for the online application. Note that the NJCSC explicitly states that applying candidates should NOT submit additional documentation as part of the exam application for this announcement. Candidates simply need to complete the basic online exam application and complete the payment information at the end of the online application process.
The application process is extremely simple and can be completed quickly. Once the NJCSC application process for the NJDOC exam is properly completed, the NJCSC will send applicants a confirmation email. Each applicant will receive a card in the mail approximately two weeks prior to the test date which will provide the specific test date, time, and location. Currently, the exam is expected to be administered in March/April of 2015.
